What confused me was its colour - kind of coral pink rather than the yellow/grey as described on the spider identification sites! And it was huge. Apologies for calling it a 'he' she'a quite obviously a big girl with eggs!Linda Kemshallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05575184486327210185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7580784877583104334.post-61958320763882881272011-10-17T09:56:08.345+01:002011-10-17T09:56:08.345+01:00It's a Garden Orb spider. Just waiting for the first proper chill to make everything else catch up and there should be quite a display.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06834178052964503036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7580784877583104334.post-10290134707603315142011-10-17T05:44:35.978+01:002011-10-17T05:44:35.978+01:00Linda, it looks like a species of a crab spider wi...Linda, it looks like a species of a crab spider with egg sac. I don't know if they are native to England. My Pansy Redbud is in its glorious fall color also. It really is a tree that shines all year. Wishing you a beautiful week.Jeanniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11367949314724875797noreply@blogger.com
